Arch Park Wonderland August 24, 2008 This is one of the better images I captured yesterday at Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk in St. Louis. I'll be posting more this week. Oh, the details: Correction! Nikon D70s (IR converted) w/10.5mm Nikkor fisheye, f14, 1/80 sec, ISO 200 (handheld). I'm sorry. I'm so used to my D300 that I forgot this wasn't taken with that camera but with my newly IR-converted D70s. Sorry!
Fire in the Sky March 19, 2009 Captured with an infrared-converted Nikon D70s. Most of the time I "channel swap" the colors on my infrared (IR) shots. I normally don't like the uncorrected red sky. But this one seemed to work. The subject matter isn't great, but the tree in the foreground is pretty dramatic in IR.
Earth Wave - 2007 \shamelessbraggingmode on\ I posted this image over a year ago in the DailyPhotos community. But just this week I learned that this image is one of 15 finalists for the 2007 Nikonian Photographer of the Year Award. Pretty cool. My wife reminded me that she was the one that told me to stop and capture this image. Figures. /shamelessbraggingmode off/
The Mighty Clydesdale! April 26, 2008 The Clydedsales are stabled a few miles from my home near Grant's Farm. You can barely make out the Budweiser logo on the barn on the right horizon. They may be mighty, but they weren't all that clean this day. The least the trainers could do would be to clean them up before I came by to take pictures!
Out of This World Fourth of July Fun! July 3, 2008 This image was captured Friday evening at the Webster Groves Community Days. This not the same as the one I posted two days ago. I took over 50 images at this one spot. It took me a while to figure out exactly where to get what I wanted. When I finally got there, I camped out until I got the image I was looking for. There's a little photoshop magic here, but not as much as you might think.
